Safety Awards Program
ZERO INCIDENT RATE
SDI is committed to providing a safe work environment for each of our employees at all times. This commitment is clearly outlined in our united goal:
- Zero Incident Rate - No phase of business is of greater importance than our employees' personal safety.
SDI conducts an annual training each January where SDI shuts down operations nationwide to ensure full participation by all employees. Before a newly hired employee can begin work, each employee is required to complete a one week long training program. The program includes both a classroom and a field based experience. This training is complimented by On the Job Training during the individual's first days as an employee.
SDI - SAFETY REWARDS PROGRAM
As safety is the responsibility of every employee, SDI has implemented safety incentive programs to promote safe work environments.
QUARTERLY BONUS PROGRAM
SDI supervisors and hourly employees, completing a quarter without an on-the injury, are eligible to receive a quarterly safety bonus. To receive the bonus neither the employee nor any member of their crew can incur an injury requiring off site medical treatment.
SDI's insurance experience modifier rate (EMR) has remained well below the national average and is indicative of our commitment to safety and health in everything we do.
